Canadian Scholarship Trust
The Canadian Scholarship Trust (CST) is known for their contributions to the education of Canadians by imparting accessible knowledge on RESP’s and saving strategies, while also awarding scholarships and bursaries to numerous families within the community. Since 1960, the CST has aided in the costs of over 800,000 student’s post-secondary education, with over $2 million dollars provided.
Food for Life, Halton
Food for Life has been serving the Halton region since 1995, in which they have rescued over 26 million pounds of food, and redistributed it to those in need within their community. Their sustainable food initiative has provided thousands of families with healthy food, while also supporting seniors, youth, and adolescents through their vast array of community-based programs.
Halton Environmental Network (HEN)
The Halton Environmental Network (HEN) has been supporting their community since 2004 by creating educational workshops, outreach programs, and waste initiatives aimed at increasing Halton region’s environmental sustainability.
Oakville Community Foundation
The Oakville Community Foundation is an organization whose goal is to build their community through philanthropic investments to Halton based charities, school boards, indigenous organizations, and other members of the region. Their efforts have targeted issues of economic inequality, post-pandemic stability, and truth and reconciliation, as well as many other contemporary issues.
United Way Hamilton/Halton
United Way within Hamilton and Halton acts as an intermediary between local stakeholders and the community in order to target and understand the roots of the social issues that affect members of both regions. Their contributions include the creation of youth and senior programs, as well as the development of food and finance projects that have directly impacted hundreds of thousands of people.
BEWorks
BEWorks is a behavioural science consulting firm tasked with applying their scientific insights to financial services, healthcare, workplace design and sustainability initiatives. Their research and evidence based approach has created technologically integrated solutions that serve many organizations within the community.
